E-commerce is a very common topics today, everyone is looking to make money online through the web but how actually one can do it? Is there any special method or those so called screen shot proofs provided by gurus are fake? You can’t really make a full time living on the web?
Before I answer these questions, one has to know, Rome isn’t build in one day and every business no matter it is online nor offline, it takes to build, to test, and to refine. If you understand this concept you can move to next section, finding profitable keywords using some free keyword tools online.
So how actually you can find some profitable keywords for your online businesses?
1.) The keywords must be relevant on what you have to offer.
Don’t wast tof time and find keywords that do not generate revenues for you. E.g if you are offering ladies underwear on your online shops, or e-commerce site, your keyword should be include like bras, under pants, lingerie kind of things. Don’t waste of time to use keywords like men underwear, kid underwear etc. Because you don’t offer such products to your customer. If you do, this is another issue.
2.) refine your search and don’t include general keywords
One term general keywords like underwear should be avoided when you are doing your keyword research. Why because it is too general, and you are not sure what the searchers are actually looking for? I mean it can be men underwear, kids underwear, silk underwear, sheer underwear, women underwear etc. As I said your store online sell women underwear so you should refine your searches and make sure those keywords are highly relevant to what you have of offer.
3.) Search volumes must be at least 5000 a month.
Make sure the keywords you found have at least search volumes equal to 5000 a month and make sure the number of web pages that Google returns are less than 5 million. Why? If there are many, that simply means the competition are too tough. And it is hard for you to compete in this keyword. So make sure your research include keywords terms that are relative popular and still there are little competition over there.
4.) Make sure there are advertisers on the keywords you pick.
The last thing you need to do for your keyword research plan is to pick keywords that have some advertisers to bid on. If there are none, it basically mean the keywords may have less commercial value. So it is safe if you can find keywords that at least will have some advertisers on. (Note: of course this is only an estimation, you should always try to bid on those keywords using PPC and see if they returns you some business or not. One never know until they try, so you should not be afraid of trying).
